Facebook users can now reportedly rewrite their wrongs in their comments.
Sources from the web are saying that the social networking giant is lifting up the nearly 30-second editing limit on its comments. Well, in case you haven’t noticed it before, Facebook users are only able to edit their comments within approximately 30 seconds after posting it.
Some users said that clicking the “x” button will cause an editing box to open, allowing users to edit their comments for a limited time.
Now it appears that Facebook is finally letting it all loose. Facebook allegedly told a number of sources that it will be rolling out the feature to everyone in the next couple of days, that’s if you are not seeing the feature yet.
TechCrunch is saying that there’s no comment editing for mobile yet. On the other hand, Mashable added that Facebook will also show the editing history of your comments so that followers can grasp the “full context of the conversation”.
The purpose the feature is likely to encourage users to comment with more confidence, and to decrease the number of comment deletions.
