Peter Andre has apologised for tweets promoting weight loss, after his Twitter account was allegedly hacked.
Earlier today (July 8), two messages were posted on Andre’s account on the microblogging site with a link promising to help “lose 20lbs of fat in 30 days – without doing any exercise”.
Andre’s Twitter followers reacted with a mixture of confusion and dismay, with one user called @pancake1 saying: “@MrPeterAndre have already lost 22lbs of my fat dieting sensibly so pleased with myself (sic).”
Another suggested the messages may not have come from Andre himself, while @Tracey1705 said: “@MrPeterAndre are you advertising weight lose ? Why? (sic).”
Later in the evening, Andre took to the site and confirmed the messages had been posted without his knowledge.
“Plse ignore these silly weight loss tweets. My twitter has been hacked ( AGAIN ) sorry,” he explained.
Last week, the singer and reality TV star launched his first clothing line, titled The Peter Andre Collection.
