Instagram has released details of its user data for the first time. The photo-sharing site, which was bought by Facebook last year for $715 million, had last week stopped reporting its traffic numbers on AppData.
Instagram said the 90 million monthly active users is 10% higher than the previous month, according to new data released by the company.
Here are the full stats, now listed on the company’s site:
- 90 million Monthly Active Users
- 40 million Photos Per Day
- 8,500 Likes Per Second
- 1,000 Comments Per Second
Co-founder Kevin Systrom is quoted by AllThingsD as saying that “Instagram continues to see very strong growth around the world. With many of the product and internationalization improvements we’ve made, we’ve been excited to see these efforts resonate with users globally.”
That’s good news for the Facebook-owned photo-sharing social network after it had to deal with a report that said the company had lost users as a result of the unpopular move to change the terms of service.
