To announce the grand opening of Westfield Stratford City, The new mall is opening in London on September 13, so they decided to make a fun short film, 100 YEARS / STYLE / EAST LONDON of retro fashions dating back to September 13, 1911 all the way through current times. The film, directed by Jake Lunt with The Viral Factory, amazingly gives the run-down of 100 years of East London fashion, dance and music in just 100 seconds.
Starting with opulent 1911 looks, a couple gets dressed in everything from Roaring Twenties to Swinging Sixties and beyond, dancing in the decades’ respective typical fashion.
Westfield Stratford is part of the infrastructural effort preceding the Olympic Games and will host more than 300 brands (among them one of the new Forever21 stores), over 50 restaurants, a 14-screen cinema, a casino, three hotels, a bowling alley and other entertainment spaces.
